Software development is the other core discipline at oxHaus. We design, build and deploy web platforms, internal business applications and integrations between systems. Requirements are written down with acceptance criteria before work starts, and security is designed into the build rather than reviewed at the end.
New applications
Requirements, user roles and data model defined up front, then a first release scoped to what users need, followed by planned iterations.
Existing systems
Code and architecture review, a prioritised change list, and migration off legacy components without losing data or history.
Integrations
APIs and data flows between systems, with field ownership, error handling, retries and reconciliation so that records match on both sides.
How the build is run
- Written requirements with acceptance criteria for each item
- Source control, code review and automated tests on every change
- Separate test and production environments
- Authentication, access control and input validation built in and checked against the OWASP Top 10
- Dependencies tracked and updated when vulnerabilities are published
- Deployment and handover documentation, and support after release
During delivery
You review the brief, scope and acceptance criteria before development starts. During the project the workspace shows what has been built, what is deployed to test and what is ready for your review. Scope changes are priced and agreed before they are built.
